Family Cup

I designed a series of ceramic cups for the guests of a house in Inkoo. This house is like a Moomin house where everyone is welcome. Sometimes random people from young to old and from near and far get together there. The idea of the product is based on Japanese meoto-jawan, a pair of cups for husband and wife. The size of the cups is based on the standard size of men and women. I made a stackable family version. People can choose a cup according to how much tea one wants to have. It is a multi-use product, so the smallest one can be used as an eggcup or for drinking sake. The lid can serve as a soya sauce plate. The simple shape gives much opportunity depending on the users imagination and needs. The decoration and the color add a cozy feeling to the product. Porcelain
