Pari and Clari

I was inspired by the Nosturi and Telakka areas of Helsinki. The nature of considerateness appears in factories when working with other people, and around food when sharing and enjoying it. Industrial forms have specific functions and round shapes are often used. I was intrigued to use cylindrical shapes and manipulate them in order to gain function in tableware. The designs are universal and multifunctional so they adapt to different tasks.

The ceramic jug Pari changes its shape from a circle to an oval. It can be passed effortlessly between people because it lacks handles and pores out in two directions.

Clari bowls were designed to flatter simple foods like nuts, berries or biscuits. The bowls comes in different heights, creating layers or landscapes on the table, and add decorative value.
